Etsy Award Winner 2016 - Home & Living

It feels good to be on the very platforms that have inspired us knowing that our hard work now inspires others, for inspiration is the fuel for creativity and innovation. Gagan Designs Peg Lamp has won the love and admiration of design lovers, magazines, blogs and forums around the world.

The world indeed feels like a small place when you get approached from every continent on the planet. The Peg Lamp and Gagan Singh, the Founder, Designer, Dreamer at Gagan Design have had mentions and interviews from London, Paris, Australia, Germany, New York and Canada among many other places around the world.

It felt good when we got asked by Etsy Canada in partnership with HGTV to showcase one of Gagan Design lamps at their exclusive booth in Fall Home Show Exhibition in Toronto in 2013.

Than inspired few more design developments, prototyping and launch of Peg Lamp and Ace lamp into the market. They were well received and loved from the get go by design lovers across. And soon it was spotted and made it to Design Milk website. Design Milk inspires us among million others around the world and it was great being on that platform.

The Peg Lamp soon got featured in many other design blogs, ezines, print magazines, future trend coffee table books and forums around the world and in April 2014 it won the Prestigious Lighting Design Award the A'Design Award in Italy.

2016 adds another feather in the cap. Gagan Design is proud to be a “2016 Etsy Awards Canada Winner in Home & Living Category”. Gagan Design is among Canada’s top 5 makers.
The Etsy Awards celebrate the best of Canadian creativity; excellence in craftsmanship and design.
From over 2,000 entries, cut to 60 finalists, then boiling down to just six, both the esteemed judging panel and the Canadian public had their work cut out for them. Judges Erin Green, Managing Director of Etsy Canada, Jillian Harris, Television Personality and Interior Design Expert, Earl Einarson and Jan Halvarson of Poppytalk, and Joyce Lo, Co-Founder and Head Buyer at the Drake General Store were tasked to pick one winner per category; while Canadians from across the country voted for one Community’s Choice Award winner.

Imagination fuels creativity. Motivation fuels inspiration. We're motivated and even more inspired by the love we continue to receive from around the world that we are committed to only push the boundaries further, crafting minimal and modern designs right here in Canada while making them desirable and accessible at the same time.
